Last year we opened from 8 am to 3 PM. I'm guessing this year will be the same but with so much going on with this renovation and scheduled reopening for Wednesday, haven't really solidified anything just yet. Please check back with me soon for something concrete and come check out our new home.
Finally after a period of time more than double of what was forecasted we are happy to say we are expecting to open mid next week. Trust us, we can't wait to reopen and have all our wonderful customers come home. Look forward to seeing everybody again and hope the the renovations make your experience even better than before.
Good menu selection. Comfortable ambience. It was very busy, but the staff was absolutely fantastic! Very friendly, efficient, attentive service. There was virtually no wait time when I visited (4 minutes to be seated, approx. 10 to 15 for orders to arrive) but be aware and consider that it is a very popular locale. Very impressed by the coordination of the entire staff. Fair prices and filling portion. The gravy is tasty and great for dipping fries. I enjoyed the roasted turkey club with brown bread and would love to visit again.
This busy breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant is almost iconic in Etobicoke. It’s been going strong since 1984 and the staff has pretty much stayed the same! The food is served delicious and hot. Very speedy service. Those two things are why you are sure to find a line up on the weekend. But don’t fret, this line up moves really fast thanks to DSG’s ability to turn a table over in record time. (Completely fascinating to watch how the busboys/busgirls can clean and reset a table in under a minute). Without a doubt, one of the best run establishments in all of Toronto and other restaurants could take a lesson or two!
Good home style cooking. We shared the Poutine to start. Delicious gravy. Overall two thumbs up. Then I had the soup of the day which was cabbage. Definitely tasted as if it was made from scratch in house. It was so flavorful, perfect for a winter's night. The best soup I have had in years. I also had a Greek salad which was also exceptional. They have all day breakfast, so my daughter had an omelet. My son and younger daughter had a huge burger. And they came out with a piece of carrot cake singing Happy Birthday. The singing was 3 star, the carrot cake 5 star! All this for very reasonable prices. Will definitely come again.
Best breakfast diner in Toronto! The menu has many fantastic options and it is very reasonably price, which you don't often find around these parts. It was very busy but the staff did a very good job of coordinating a table for my needs. It is also a breath of fresh air to see how much parking there is around the building. I will definitely be returning.
The food was delicious and super quick. Our server was very nice and patient with our francophone family. The food is reasonably priced. Used to stop for breakfast more than 10 years ago when I worked downtown and the renovations look really nice. The only downside is limited parking due to location. But it's a great local and community restaurant
